Building on the success and momentum of APES 1, APES 2 , APES 3 enters a new phase under the theme “Intertwining Peace, Prosperity, and Environmental Sustainability. This third summit recognizes that sustainable peace must be economically grounded and environmentally responsible. Prosperity, in this context, is not defined solely by economic growth, but by inclusive development that safeguards natural resources, reduces inequality, and empowers communities. APES 3 will therefore explore how green economies, climate justice, sustainable livelihoods, and responsible governance can create pathways toward long-term stability. It seeks to bridge policy and practice, dialogue and implementation, ensuring that environmental sustainability becomes a driver of peace and shared prosperity across Africa.
