We are glad to introduce H.E. Simon Mikanipare as an APES 3 Brand Ambassador

H.E. Simon Mikanipare is a distinguished Pan-African leader, humanitarian, and youth advocate with over two decades of experience advancing peace, sustainable development, and youth empowerment across Africa. He is the President of AYUDO and Co-Founder & Executive Director of Sun Rays Foundation.

Prof. Amb. Judi W. Wakhungu, EGH is Kenya's former Ambassador to France, the Holy See, Portugal, Serbia, and Monaco, and served as Cabinet Secretary for Environment, Water and Natural Resources from 2013 to 2018. An internationally acclaimed environmental leader and geologist, she spearheaded landmark conservation policies, including Kenya's ban on single-use plastic bags and key environmental legislation. She has received numerous prestigious awards, including the Oceans Award (2018), Clark R. Bavin Award (2016), and the Order of the Golden Heart (EGH), First Class. Prof. Wakhungu has also held several global leadership positions with the United Nations, World Bank, and other international organizations, and continues to inspire future generations through her contributions to environmental conservation, sustainable development, and STEM mentorship.

A peacebuilder, writer, and community dialogue facilitator, Jay is a Rotary Peace Fellow at Makerere University and a member of the Focolare Movement. An award-winning author, he champions peace, sustainability, inclusive leadership, and environmental stewardship across Africa.

Hajjat Aphwa Kawaase Sebyala | Maama Insurance Africa, a distinguished insurance professional, environmental champion, and corporate governance expert with over 40 years of leadership experience. Known as "Hajjat Green," she serves as the President of Women in Insurance Uganda.
